Kala Keralam, a Socio-cultural organization formed in the year 2005 by the resident Keralites of Mayur Vihar Phase – 1 and adjacent areas. In the last 16 years, this group has established itself as one of the leading organizations in Delhi conducting, organizing and promoting varieties of cultural activities. Kala Keralam has done tremendous efforts to popularize music, dance, drama and other cultural activities of Kerala among the Delhiites, especially the South Indian community. The music and dance competitions conducted as “Kalotsavam” is very popular among the students and art lovers, reflected each year by the increased number of participants and high standards. Kala Keralam has given much importance to the teaching of Malayalam language among the young generation. This Padana Kendram instils interest in the Malayalam language and Kerala culture among the young generation and is a proud achievement of this organisation having 4 study units as on date. The “Manawa Sewa” activities of Kala Keralam viz; medical & financial support for the needy and providing scholarships for economically weaker students are praiseworthy. I wish Kala Keralam, the very best in all its endeavors and I am certain that this organization will achieve new milestones with its immense potential of talented members with their dedicated team work.
